Randy Brooks has been involved in the
ministerial and entertainment industries since the age of
12. His professional career began at the age of 14
as pianist and vocalist for popular gospel groups in the
Southwestern United States. This led to his live
and recorded performances with many highly acclaimed
performing groups. This includes playing the piano
for the internationally famous gospel group J.D. Sumner
and the Stamps Quartet.
In 1971 Randy and his brother Bill formed The Brooks Brothers
Band. To date, having surrounded themselves with a group
of award-winning musicians and producers, they have recorded 25
albums containing three “Top 40” hits in country and gospel
music. Many who are now top names in the Nashville music
industry were formerly associated with The Brooks Brothers Band
during the early years of their careers.
Randy served as Music Director on 58 episodes of the
award-winning television series “Country Crossroads”.
Along with his brother, Randy co-produced over 700 live events
for American Airlines worldwide. Along with The Brooks
Brothers Band, Randy was voted “Entertainer of the Year” in the
State of Texas six years in a row.
In 1989 Randy was cast in the role of “Jesus” in award winning
musical The Promise. Since that time Randy has played
that role in over 4,000 performances worldwide including Russia
and Korea. He originated this role in the production
during 7 years at the Texas Amphitheater in Glen Rose, Texas
and followed that by performing for 6 years in Branson,
Missouri. Randy still performs the role of “Jesus” in
special presentations of a newly produced musical on the life
of Jesus called “His Life”. As a veteran
performer, Randy Brooks combines his life experiences with
dedication to human values while presenting a compassionate
Jesus that is rarely captured on stage.
In 1996 Randy was voted “Best New Artist of the Year” for his
role as “Jesus” in Branson, Missouri. In 1997, he earned
the title of “Male Vocalist of the Year”, and in 1998 he was
named “Male Entertainer of the Year” in the Branson Music
Awards. 1999 saw a repeat of the “Male Entertainer of the
Year” title.
Currently, Randy Brooks is the Executive Director of the
musical “His Life” in New York City to sold-out audiences twice
each year for the past 5 years
